Our approach to living is designed to encourage enthusiasm and interaction about contemporary issues and life experiences. Because we are developing thinkers and creators of ideas, projects, and programs, our love of inclusive leadership guides the way. Citizens of Atkins are required to be engaged. Our students govern Atkins through participation on committees, councils, and group work.
Each student must be a member of one of the four committees that exist to create cultural, intellectual, and social activities. Each committee has two co-chairs who represent the students at larger council meetings where the needs of the community are discussed. Living at Atkins is a lifelong experience, marked with traditions that make this space a special home place.
